A spontaneous shoot in Venice with painter Wesleigh Byrd

We walked and wandered and strolled around the ‘Calles’ of Venice. I had my camera with me all the time, wanted to capture all the beauty I’ve been promised to find by the thousands of images I had seen before, and Venice did not disappoint.

Another turn, another Calle, and that was when we saw her standing there. I loved how she was doing her thing, nurturing her creativity, as we all do, she with her brushes and easel, me with my camera.

Could I take a few photos of her, I asked? The scene was just so beautiful, the light so inviting.

So, a very spontaneous shoot in Venice with Wesleigh who studies art in California and came to Venice for a university field trip.

A moment preserved, just how I like it.
